CHURCH ROCK, N.M.—Rhino Health L.L.C. plans to invest more than $49 million in a 124,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility and warehouse to produce nitrile gloves.

The $49M was secured through McKinley County and an Industrial Revenue Bond.  The New Mexico Economic Development Department will invest up to $3.5 million in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds in the expansion. McKinley County will act as the fiscal agent for the LEDA award. LEDA helps recruit new businesses to our state while helping those already here grow and thrive.

According to a New Mexico Economic Development Department news release, Rhino Health will launch a multi-phased manufacturing plan to establish and then expand U.S. production of nitrile rubber gloves. The firm intends to market its products to government agencies, medical facilities, the food industry and retail.

The project, once fully expanded, will create about 350 jobs in the region.

Rhino Health is the U.S.-based subsidiary of South Korean rubber conglomerate Jungwoo Rubber & Plastic. The firm said the site will be its first nitrile glove factory in the U.S.
