Description

Carbon Coal Road is a designed four-lane industrial road that will connect US491 to the Gallup Energy Logistics Park.  This project will create a Four Corners gateway to transloading, logistics, transportation, storage, and manufacturing industries.  The project was designed by DePauli Engineering & Surveying and funded by NM Capital Outlay monies.  In the 2019 NM Legislative Session, $23M were appropriated to the build-out of Carbon Coal Road and upgrading the intersection at Us491 and Ninth Street/Chino Loop Road.  The County has requested that NM Department of Transportation (NMDOT) manage these two projects together.  Project is scheduled to be completed by December 2021.
